This is how we've all felt for the last 2 weeks. To top it off, Norah has an ear infection AND is teething. I think we're finally turning the corner this evening . . .

Nathan wanted to take this picture, based on my reaction when we went to the gas station. lol

Nathan's choice--April 19, 2008

You might think that our house was built in 1887 and that this is a secret passageway, but it's not. Our house was built in the '70s and this is just the crawl space under my closet.

(Mom's note: Nathan's favorite show is If Walls Could Talk and he would dearly love it if we found a secret passageway. Sadly, there are probably not too many mysteries to be found in our 1970's tract house).

We have been sick all week and are behind on our posts, so I'm posting a week's worth of pictures today! This afternoon, we went outside for the first time in 3 days. These are some pictures from our front porch.

Nathan's pick--April 17, 2008

These pictures go with the poem Nathan wrote today (he wants to say that it's based on a real poem):

Oh, I want to go to the end of the sidewalk
Maybe it goes to 9078, or zero oh seven
And I walk there, and walk there, and walk there
Until I reach the end of the sidewalk
Where the sidewalk turns green.
Oh, what a mad land!

Nathan's pick--April 14, 2008

We went to dinner the other night, and they are building a new amusement park right next to the restaurant. The kangaroos have boxing gloves--what a silly sight!

My breakfast in bed that Nathan brought to me. The cinnamon toast actually started out as cumin toast--darn those similiar spice bottles! Apparently, our dogs LIKE cumin toast (not much of a surprise, as our dogs will eat anything), and my new cinnamon toast was delicious.

The temperature right now, at 1:45.

A squirrel scouting out the food table at the birthday party we went to. It never got brave enough to actually go for it!

Nathan took his own photo today--a dove's nest on the neighbor's ladder. Our neighbor is a contractor, but hopefully he won't need that ladder for awhile!
