Memorial Day at our local cemetary. These are the graves of two best friends who were killed together in Iraq in 2004 and, unbelievably, the younger brother of one of the friends who was killed in an Army helicopter crash last year. A third brother was honorably discharged from the military as a sole survivor. We met an incredible young man at the gravesite last year, and saw another soldier there this year paying his respects. The true meaning of Memorial Day.

Norah is learning how to feed herself, and how to stand up. The other day, Nathan told me, "Norah has her 'discovering' face on." Love that!

Our neighbor across the street bought a Thunderbird that was delivered on a flatbed trailer. Very exciting!

Nathan is really enjoying his hockey/ice skating lessons. Our friend, whose son also plays, bought him this jersey for last night's practice.

With a nod to Dr. Suess: We can not post a shot a day, our busy life gets in the way! Here are some pictures from the past week:

Our friend, and awesome tribute artist, Jeremy "Elvis" Pearce performed at a Shriners fundraiser.

Nathan & Norah watching TV in the morning, Norah's first bath without her "baby" tub, a picture of Norah taken by Nathan--he always gets the best smiles!

What we are reading, and what we are watching. We have an affinity for the Addams Family around here. There is an awesome episode where the school board wants the children to go to school, and Gomez says, "Why have children just to send them away?" Exactly!

Norah's choice--April 29, 2008

This is Norah's creative input, achieved by grabbing the camera while I was trying to take a picture of her first tooth.
